I'm heading back to the gym this coming week. I want to get some exercise scheduled before the big food holidays, so that I'm not in shock when I force my body to exercise after. ;)

I'm tired of walking and cycling. What are some other exercises at the gym I can do that I can learn on my own? This is when I really miss curves and their equipment. LOL

Although my gym is in my home, I like the elliptical. Don't let it scare you. You can start out slow and work your way up gradually. I prefer that to the treadmill because you don't get that pounding which can hurt your knees. I think it gives you a better overall workout. Mine has arm movement too. The handles move with the foot pedals. Some of the ones in the gym don't have that. Good luck to you.

I go to Planet Fitness and also use the elliptical - I love it.  I don't like the treadmill as I have bad knees and just don't feel like I get a true workout.  With the elliptical, I really feel like I'm working out and it's not hard on my joints.  Mine, too has arm movements which I like.  I'm in the middle when it comes to stamina, I can usually go about 30 minutes with a 5 minute cool down.  I feel great afterwards!
