Yes you can Carol and good for you for sticking with the exercise. I'm sure it's really helped you from gaining. I'm in maintenance mode but my husband struggles. He too has to follow the straight and narrow in order to lose. One of the things I think he has trouble with is trying to be to "strict" on himself. He's not able to sustain and winds up veering into the wide and curvy again. Moderation is not something he's able to really stick to yet.

I just looked back and saw that it was October when I first went below 200, then I got stuck bouncing back and forth between 198 and 200. The scale has finally started to move again! I was 195 this morning. I haven't been that low in several years. I've been exercising all along, but I just recently started paying more attention to my food. I'm still not making healthy choices all the time, but I've cut back on my portions and on the snacking at night. I realized I just don't need it, it was a habit that I needed to break. I'm also trying to eat more fiber, since it absorbs some of the fat in your diet. I don't know what's doing it, but I'm just glad it's happening and hope it keeps up! Carol 217/195/150

Aw, that IS disappointing Carol! It's always so easy to gain it back, isn't it? Way easier than losing. But you know, it's time to move on. Reset your 'inner compass' and start anew. You've done it before, so you already know how to do it again. I'd say start keeping a food journal from today (do you have one already?). It'll help a lot you'll see.
I also weigh everyday you know? It helps me so much to stay on track.

I have been keeping a food journal since the beginning of April.

Oh yeah! I'm sure you can, and you will.
FitDay is really a good one. It's so much of an eye opener! I'm always amused by all these helpful things that are so easily available these days. These really can drag us back to our tracks and be by our side like a personal trainer.
I'll be waiting for your posts next week telling that you've lost 2-3 lbs :).

In an effort to continue on with this journal, I will post that I had surgery on 6/6 and am out of commission for a while for exercising.
