Changing a lifestyle

So as you know, my husband is not supportive of me getting weight loss surgery. He said he would be supportive after he sees that I have made an effort to change my lifestyle and if it doesn't work. He says that getting wls now would be a waste of time and money because of my lifestyle. He wants me to spend the money on a wellness center instead.  After speaking with my doctor, I've decided I would wait for a while and try the wellness center.I have lost 25 lbs over the last 9 or 10 months (thank God I have not gained) making small changes but I was hoping to get some kind of quick result and had hoped wls was the answer.

That's great that you have lost weight and are making positive changes.  I am sorry your husband isn't supporting what you would like to do.

If you are commited to the lifestyle changes then WLS will help you to rapidly get a large chunk of weight off, but to get all the weight off and keep it off you do need lifestyle changes.  So making them ahead of time will help you to maximize the benefits of the surgery.
