Although spring-cleaning may have become a thing of the past, germs haven't. They continue to grow and linger in one of their favorite places -- the bathroom.

"People these days just don't take time out from their busy schedule to clean," Donna Duberg, an assistant professor of clinical laboratory science at Saint Louis University, said in a university news release.

Even if you're not planning to strip down bedding and curtains to get rid of the dust and dirt that accumulated over the winter months, Duberg offered some streamlined ways to create a germ-free bathroom.

How often do you clean your bathroom(s)?

I've never once thought to spring clean my bathroom!  It makes sense though as I'm sure it could use a good scrubbing from top to bottom.  As it is now, I clean the bathroom once a week, with wipedowns through the week (especially with boys in the house- yuck!).

I clean it at least once a week to get things really spotless. One of my two roommates is of the male persuasion and I get the feeling that he stands back and aims in the general direction of the toilet and doesn't think about it -- his pee simply goes everywhere. Not that gross if you get it quickly. (He and his gf are currently supporting me so I am trying to help out around the house and i like to keep things really really clean.)
