Getting dressed to shoes

I may be off to a bit of a bumpy start but I have been practicing this daily.  It really helps!  I feel so much more put together and motivated when I'm fully ready for the day first thing.  Anyone else do this each day?

I started with Flylady a LONG time ago, and when I read her advice to "get dressed to your shoes" I thought, hey, I"m not the only person who thinks that matters!  I had noticed a few years earlier that I was much more energetic with sneakers on than walking around barefoot or in socks.  I'll bet I've been putting on sneakers when I get home since I had at least my second baby (who is 18 now, LOL!).

Related to this, I can't stand it when other people assume I don't want to wear shoes indoors. It actually stresses me out when I'm invited to a house and then told to take my shoes off.  They're part of my outfit, and my feet are ALWAYS freezing, even in summer, so I want to keep them on, thank you very much!

I'm with you! I really don't like taking my shoes off when I go to other homes. I don't know what it is, but I just feel like I'm not welcomed there. It just feels so cold and uninviting. Weird, right? haha!

My day often goes better if I get dressed pretty soon after I get up. The shoes may be a strap-on sandal that I wouldn't wear outside in November, yet it's enough that I feel dressed and ready to open the door if someone knocks.
