I saw this on Twitter this morning. Creepy or Cool?

"The Ecopod is a revolutionary and beautiful new design in coffins that brings together artisan skills with style, elegance and a respect for the environment.

Made by hand from recycled newspapers and hand finished with paper made from recycled silk and mulberry leaves, the Ecopod is... suitable for cremation, or burial in woodland sites or traditional cemeteries, and biodegrades naturally over time when placed in the ground."

Which leads me to many, many questions, lol!

Do you want to be buried or cremated? Personal preference or religious belief? Do you visit any deceased loved ones in a cemetary? Do you remember the deceased in any other ways? Would you personally use an Ecopod? Would you want a loved one to use one?

Do you want to be buried or cremated?
-Cremated

Personal preference or religious belief?
-personal preference

Do you visit any deceased loved ones in a cemetary?
-nope, most of us are cremated and we visit when we spread the ashes of the next one, lol

Do you remember the deceased in any other ways?
-just through stories, talking friends and family

Would you personally use an Ecopod?
-If I wanted to be buried, that's the way I would want to go. I totally believe in going back to the earth and that would be the fastest way. I wouldn't want to be embalmed, either

Would you want a loved one to use one?
-sure

I finally had time to come back and answer this myself!

I thought these looked weird - it reminds me of something you'd see in a sci-fi movie about pod people, lol. But I do like the idea if one is planning to be buried, since it seems more eco-friendly than using a tree for a coffin.

Being buried in general seems like a waste to me though - the trees (or metal?) used for a coffin, the land used (although I'd rather see a pretty green cemetery than another strip mall I guess). Needless to say I plan to be cremated!

As for relatives, I only actually know where one cousin is buried. I'd rather just remember the memories that I have of the people. I don't have a need or desire to "visit" with them. I guess I'm just unsentimental that way?
