YOU ARE INVITED
WHAT: A Meet & Greet Party for the Green Families and Simple Living boards, recently merged and soon with a new name.
Hello, everyone! I'm Kay...live in Washington State. I'll just set my pita bread and hummus over here...help yourself!
Although I'm not in the pregnancy mode anymore , I'm still a mom, and my 2 DDs have blessed me with 3 DGSs! They are 2,4 & 5. I work part-time as a sports writer at our local newspaper.
I just came in from gardening for 3 hours at the botanical gardens where I volunteer. It was great out there today! Of course the weeds are always abundant!
I brought a gift for someone...gardening gloves. These have a rubberized palm and fingertips, very sturdy, stretchy through the wrist and back of the hand. Machine washable. Mine have lasted a very long time.
I'm glad to be here and look forward to meeting you all.
Glad you could make it Kay!
I'm sorry I'm late!!
I'm finally here. This lake was hard to find.
I didn't bring the kids. School started today. Yes my youngest is in Kindergarten this year. I'll have to leave shortly to walk to go get them. I can't wait to hear about the day.
I did however bring there favorite treat. Our homemade Whole Wheat Oatmeal cookies. Help yourself. Oh wait let me sneak a few away. For the kids you know.
I also brought some sewing needles if anyone wants them. When I was mending somethings this weekend I found a few packages. So help yourself
Hi Jennifer, We'll have to talk before you leave!
Hi Suzan, I'm so happy you made it!
A kindergartener how sweet!!
My DD did much better than I did. No tears on her part but tears on mine. But I have had excellent friends that have remembered to include me eventhough I no longer have a child at home like they do, so I had lots of support and lots of invitations out for coffee/tea.
Is his kindergarten half day or all day? Both of my children went to all day kindergarten. One had a easy start and one who hard a rough start. One went to a traditonal kindergarten one did not.
I have experienced kindergarten different ways: 1) as a child (well sort, I went to a montessori kindergarten so I had the same teachers as I did in pre school(sp?) ) 2)as a parent, and 3)I did part of my student teaching in kindergarten, then I taught pre kindergarten for several years.
So ask away, talk away.
And I'm glad that you could use some of the sewing needles.
I have a feeling I will start
Hi Sheri Ann, pretty name...
