What is one of your eco pet peeves?

What is one habit (big or small) that you'd like to improve upon?

What is one of your eco pet peeves? This morning when I dropped my son off at preschool, one of the other parents left his truck running while he brought his son in. And it's not just a quick "push them in the door" kind of thing. We have to go to their cubby area, take off their coat and boots, go sign them in, then bring them to the gym. It definitely takes a few minutes. I was just really surprised that someone would idle for that long.

What is one habit (big or small) that you'd like to improve upon? I leave my laptop on at night. I close it, but don't shut it off, which I really need to start doing.

Just like PP, running cars. A mom at my DSs preschool does that, too. Yeah, she runs in and drops her kid off (and don't get me started about THAT) and runs back out, but seriously, does it really take that much longer to restart your car??

buying organic. I'd do this, but DH does most of the shopping and he won't buy organic because of the cost.

What is one of your eco pet peeves? Also the cars!!! People at the bus stop for the kids will sit there for like 10 minutes with their cars running! I think I am the only one that shuts mine off. And, they do this no matter what the weather.

Ours is the same - May through October - but it's open on Tuesdays from 10 am - 2pm, which is when I work, so I can never go. :(

That really stinks that it is in the middle of the day and week like that. We do have some others around here that are during the week in the summers but they are in the evening- usually 4-7pm. The one on Saturdays is the biggest though. I definitely need to remember to go next year!

We have one about 20 miles away that is held on Saturdays. I think I'm going to try to make a point of going to that one. I kept putting it off and putting it off this past summer because it's so far away, but I guess that's better than having my produce shipped from South America or somewhere else far away! LOL!
