Hi all,

I've been struggling with this for a few years, well since we moved into this house.

Look into a raised garden bed. You can make a basic frame, to the size you want using inexpensive 2x8 wood planks. You then can fill the frame with organic soil and compost.

google vegetable planting schedule for georgia (you are in the same zone as I am). It will direct you to UGAs agriculture extension website. There is some basic info available in how to do it. It is not at all difficult. AND bonus, you can garden where you normally wouldn't be able to garden.

And it is good to see you. I always think I need to venture back over to kids eating healthy. I am just waiting on my computer to be delivered so I can again.

Thanks for the idea! I will have to do it in my front side yard, as the dog is out back and he would eat all of my garden. I will head over to the website as well. I grew the hanging tomatoes last year but I know I can grow much more. We had a huge garden when I was a kid and it saved us so much money. As soon as you get your computer come on back over :)
