Do you put them up?  If so, how many do you put up?  Do you go all out or just a bit?

Not many but we do put lights up along the railings of our dock --- yesterday we attached 12 new strings of "industrial grade" LED lights...and it wasn't enough to do all the rails so there are 6 more strings on back-order. We have them hooked up to a remote so we can turn them on from inside the house.

We started this a few years ago and now some of the houses across the lake from us are doing the same --- putting lights up in their back gardens so we can all see and enjoy them.

I used to do it just along the house line, but the last few years I haven't, we aren't going to be home for christmas this year, and my hanger helper went off to college. :0) So no lights again this year.

Just before the snow hit, DH got the last of the lights up outside. What with winter now firmly in place, they will likely STAY up until spring! LOL

From the front door, looking towards the street and a vacant lot across the street. The lit tree in the foreground is a miniature blue spruce; the one further away is artificial:

In the back garden, we have a dock connected to the garden by a large stairway. It is lit year round with a white optic cable but he added industrial LEDs this year for Christmas. At the top of the stairway:

all the way down to the lake:

This is as much as we ever do any more (we went all out the first year we lived here and it was a PITA) --- given weather, hassle taking down decorations, and the fact that we live out in the corn fields and there really aren't a lot of people who will see this besides ourselves and a few neighbors.

Looks beautiful, Carol! And it appears as if he got them up just in time. The snow looks so pretty!
