Blue in a kitchen?

Every time I turn around, I hear designers saying blue is a bad color to use in places where food is an issue (dining rooms, kitchens) becasue blue supresses the appetite! SO why are blue kitchens so attractive? Like this Indigo one (scroll about half-way down the page)...

It seems indigo is the "color of teh month" this year!

I'm with you on that blue-and-white color scheme. This kitchen is beautiful but it is a bit dark and I suspect one would want good natural light in there . Wouldn't work for us: our kitchen is DARK, not only because of the dark teal paint but also because the nearest windows are a whole room-width (the breakfast nook/sitting area)

I actually love that kitchen, and would do it in a heartbeat! When I redid my condo I did blue/grey cabinet like that with white washed doors and then a blue and white tile, even a butcher block counter top would look nice with the kitchen pictured. I am a big fan of blue, though most of the all blue rooms shown are too bold for me personally.
