Pretty DIY candle holder / sconce / art

Don't know what to call this - a sconce I guess? Thought it was so pretty and easy to do. This cute blog has the tutorial~ http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2012/02/industrial-chic-sconce.html
I saw something similar on Pinterest where the person had used mason jars and put flowers in them. I can think if so many ideas!

Here's the original idea I saw that used mason jars and hose clamps. They used it to hold craft supplies...I thought I remembered flowers for some reason! That would be pretty too.
