I looked over several celebrity homes at that website. Beautiful homes and really BIG, but I didn't see even one of them that I could move right into and enjoy without making a lot of decorating changes. Interesting how different each individuals choices are in decorating. Makes me wonder how professional decorators ever make the best choices for clients. Can't be an easy job.

I know what you mean about a total redecorate. DH was at a freind's parent's house last weekend and his pictures were fascinating but, IMO, the house wasn't liveable. Way too much STUFF, if you KWIM... and it wasn't that they were granny-stuff collectors; they were collectors of a WIDE variety of art, from naked ladies to modern paintingns to sculpture to six-foot-long chadeliers to...  They had TOO MUCH money, if you ask me and no guidance. They bought what they liked, to heck with whether it went together or not. Of course, who am I to criticize with a house full of Chinese embrodiery and DH's model airplains!?!

I personally would be afraid to rely on a decorator, even though I have little or no "taste"! I mean, what if she came up with something totlaly WRONG?
