Things Are Looking Up
7 Wow-Worthy Ceilings
Wow-worthy for sure! I really love beamed ceilings. I wish I had a room to do that in. It just looks so cozy.
I agree! But sadly many modern homes doen't havet eh ceiling heights to allow such treatment. Don't forget though, that you can create interesing effects just with paint: a light color makes the ceiling look higher and a room brighter; a darker one makes it "close in" a little. And ceiling colors don't HAVE to match wall color or just be white either... We painted the ceilings in our guest suite bedroom teh same light color os the lightest walls, mainly becasue it is an attic reno and the sloping ceiling on one side didn't lend itself well to a change in color. So we carried the color all the way up onto the ceiling to "hide" that slope and teh awkward angles it created a little!
