Chalkboards aren’t just for classrooms any more. Chalkboard paint can be applied to a variety of craft ideas, adding an element whimsy to your home décor and everyday household items.

SO many fun ideas!  Have you used chalkboard paint in your home?  If so, where did you apply it?  Have a pic to share (we'd love to see it!)?

I used chalkboard pain way back when it was first really getting popular 14 years ago with my oldest one.  My grandfather was a carpenter and he made a big wodden frame with a ledge and we screwed it onto the wall and did chalkboard paint under it so my daughter had a "built in" chalkboard on her wall and she knew only to chalk within the frame.  It was fabulous.  And then a few years later I bought an old desk and chair at a garage sale, stripped them down, painted the chair and the desk legs hot pink, put a cushion and gingham pink fabric on the chair and then put chalkboard paint on the top of the desk for her to chalk one.  She loved that desk!!

And now, as a freshman in college, we bought chalk board contact paper that she could put on her dorm room wall to color on, easy on, easy off.

LOVE all the ways you've used the chalk paint, Tracy! I think every child would love something like that. And I adore what you did in her dorm room. What a perfect thing for a college student to have. So cool!
