My CC balance is offically, even after interest has posted, under $14,000.  The minimum payment is also now down to under $300.00.

Work:  My boss never gave me an official yes or no answer.  So, after speaking with friends and my DH at great length, I decided to refocus my direct selling.  There is potential for good earnings, so I had a very long conversation with DH about my fears of getting hyper focused like I did years ago.  For those skeptics, it is a consumable product and I have been doing it for 18 years.  I have already walked to the top of the career path and stepped down, so my eyes are wide open.  I have loyal customers and team members that have been with me for a large part of these 18 years.

Only recent discouragement is my co-pay's changed this year from $25 for any doctor to $35 for doctor and $70 for specialist, which of course includes my dermatologist.

That's it for me today.  :)

Don't let anyone put you down for focusing on your direct selling. Some people just don't understand the potential :)

I think I understand what you mean. We should work to live, not live to work.

I am understanding a little of the sacrifices my own family have made for me. Ironically, it was for all of us but my children do not care about money. They just want their mother. I get up at 6am - from my long bus ride/school days and get to work super early so I can leave early. So now I am home with the kids for 5 hours before bedtime every night. I haven't spent this much time with them since maternity leave. My older son is settling down and so much better. Younger son is not yet. But he will :)

In the end was it worth it? Yes but only because I didn't do permanent damage to my children. My husband is a wonderful husband and father - but - he doesn't get the struggle my kids were going through.

In the end, we are first and foremost mothers and wives before successful businesswomen. Just remember that and you will be fine this time around :)

Such great news on the CC! That must feel pretty darn good. I get it a little more with the direct selling. Your post explains it a little more. i wish you all the best of luck of course!

"In the end, we are first and foremost mothers and wives before successful businesswomen."

I'm a mother, wife, AND successful businesswoman.  And my HUSBAND has stayed home with the kids for 18 years.

Well said D and Mohpac.  :)

At the end of the day, family comes first.

I like to think of our lives more as a puzzle, rather than a ladder.  As Jane Fonda says, "we can have it all, just not at the same time."

Serenity, Good job on making CC progress and being realistic with your options. Do you have motivation to get through the down times? Good to see you still hear motivating others as well. -Marie
