Hi everyone. I used to be a regular here on Ivillage (waaaay back about 10 years ago). Good to see there are still some active message boards around.
Yes, I have mounds of debt. Mostly from school, which I suppose is not a terrible thing. I sat down and took the time to create a budget about a month ago, but it totally went out the window. I was doing so well until last week, and then I just completely let it slide. Now I'm back to square one again, which means my credit card is maxed out, I am broke until payday, and I have bills to pay.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting some support, and helping others along the way. The good thing is I can comfortably manage my debt repayment. The thing that is killing me is my credit card. The payment I make every month gets swallowed back up by purchase interest. Here at work, we have to pay for stuff we need, then we get reimbursed. That means even though I don't use my card for myself, I have to put a payment on it, then I won't get the money back for a few weeks. At that time, the purchase interest is already there. Ugh! No more credit cards for me!
