The issue here is that the blogger (writer of the article) does not seem to know that Dave Ramsey is NOT an investment counselor.

That is an unfortunate reality.

My parents were all gung-ho civil rights, folk-singing, "we shall overcome" types in the 1950s and 60s.

I do think it's incredibly rude to tell someone you feel sorry for them - who needs to hear that! - or worse, that they feel sorry for your children because THEY think you're depriving them of something.

Unless this is the Dave Ramsey support board, people who managed to get out of debt and/or those who would like to explore alternative ways to get out of debt should be supported as well.
