Let me just start by saying that in life, context is everything.

My dear friend Kate.....once again, I'm trying really, really hard not to burst out laughing at the office.

OMG that was hysterical!

I think being frugal is sexy...I dunno about broke. But I'll tell you one thing, with all that I have been through.......(if I wasn't just married) I'd never hook up with

Ok I can laugh out loud at the office as everyone seems to be on vacation and I am totally rolling!
YES, being broke can be sexy! DH and I do most of our dates and evenings in our own room after 9 PM! We don't have money to go out which means dinners can start when we get home and go until bedtime without having to worry about who is at the table next to us (except the kids, of course.)

Kate, I am at my desk at work trying to hold it in! You are so funny!

I have also learned the hard way not to give in to my DD25. Electricity being turned off is one thing, buying her a Latte' simply because she wants to save HER money...I don't think so.

It is true, some dates could possibly come out of your frugal encouters. (tee hee) but I think living within your means is what makes it sexy. Being in debt, (and not caring), not so much.

So I would say, "is living within your means sexy?" Yes!

Dear Kate,
If you were to write these stories and seek publication, you'd never be broke again, ever. Your stories are hilarious, appealing and engaging to a wide audience. Being in debt and not dealing with it isn't sexy; living withing your means is great. Having the same financial blueprint as your partner, I think that's probably where "sexy" comes in. Now, while there is totally no comparison with your stories, I think if someone like Tucker Max can get published and make a ton of money off what he's published, surely to goodness there MUST be a market for you. Seriously.

I agree with everyone else Kate you are soo funny and you should get published. Also, I think your relationship with your daughter is amazing. There is NO WAY I would ever go sex toy shopping with my Mom. I hope that someday my girls will feel that comfortable with me also.

I'm real close to my Mom, but I would not ask her to accompany me to a place like that - in fact, if that was the gift I was asked to buy, I'd have to decline.
