I posted last week about a small victory (nothing major other then saying no to a table). Having said that, I've been struggling a lot. I thought I was battling depression but I am starting to think its burn out. I read an article about burn out and it's me to a tee.
This past week was rough because I was travelling all week and had conferences and leadership meetings to attend all over the place. I haven't paid to eat out all of November and I've only eaten at home once (as in I've been eating conference food, take out

This was a more positive post than I was expecting from the title.
One thing you need to make sure is in your budget is something fun each month.
I am trying so hard to see the positives in everything. I have no ideas how you ladies with kids do it. Evertyhing seems like such a big task, even doing laundry. I have been so up and down lately that I'm really trying to get myself together and focus on being positive. Fake it till you make it perhaps?

I too have been traveling a lot and I hate coming home when tired to laundry, and house cleaning. This weekend allowed me to regroup as well, but not nearly as much as you have - GREAT JOB!
That government lump sum will make you feel better. Please throw some money in the back of your wallet to use for emergencies, and also save a bit in some emergency funds so you don't freak about spending.
OH, and how about that table now, as a reward?

Once the cheque clears I am taking a page out of the "Marie" book and putting cash in the wallet and then taking out the CCs.
I am going to as "Santa" for my table. My mom dosn't have a lot of money and if it's still there (and only $25) then I will ask her for it! I'll feel good that she didn't spend a ton and she'll feel good knowing that it's something that I really really wanted!
