Consumer debt free!

Well after many years and additions to the debt we are consumer debt free. Hubby paid off our truck loan with our tax refund today. I used to have a ticker for it but it got lost in the board change over never to be seen again.  I have been on the board since 2008.

We have paid off my personal line of credit, Dh's student loan, a car and a truck. We have also paid off my land and building, saved money and are getting there on my store roof loan. We still have a land mortgage and will be saving now for a house and will have a house mortgage too, but the future looks bright.

I think we will celebrate with a lobster dinner I will cook at some point soon. It is very important to celebrate these things. Paying off debt is very tiresome and a lot of hard work and sacrifice.

This can be done, and it was a lot of money, over  $100,000. I just wanted everyone to know that it is possible and I appreciate everyone's support over the years. I will still be around since we are not out of debt completely. I love to help if I can, because once I was new here too and other people's perspectives can help a lot.

Happy chipping away at your debt everyone!

Congratulations!  I am so happy to hear this news!

$100,000 is a lot of debt.  I know, I had the same.  I think it took us about the same amount of time to pay it off, too.

Enjoy the lobster dinner - this definitely calls for a celebration!
