November Goals:

Pay 2100 towards property taxes Paid $1400.
Get debt total down to $17,000 (this will be tough, but I'm expecting a sizable reimbursement check) Not quite. Down to $18,621. That is about a $2000 reduction, though, so not bad.
Pay off my two smallest cards (one of which I just put the $70 on...) Paid off one of these.

For December, I need to pay for all of the holiday shopping and travel so there won't be as much to go around for debt repayment. Still, here are my goals:
-Pay off one more card (It's only about $150)
-Pay as much as I can afford to on the property taxes (maybe another $1400)
-Get total debt (including taxes) down to $16,000
-List some things on eBay

Good luck, all! Didi

Let's see here...

My November goals were:

1) Reign in grocery spending and keep trying to come in at the alloted amount.
~ I finally did it! I managed to keep it to $120 a pay period! It has included being very creative with turkey and a lot of leftovers, but I managed it.

2) Start buying DH's Christmas presents and get them ready to send.
~ This actually turned out to not be necessary.  DH is coming home early so I can just buy for him along with everyone else

3) Let go of the debt repayment mindset.
~ We have A TON of extra money right now (about $1000).  I am fighting the urge to put it on cards but DH has a few big purchases he plans to make on homecoming so I'm leaving it be.  We did, however, get one card completely paid off :)

December goals:

1) Enjoy the holidays and having my DH home.

2) Get presents sent and finish Christmas shopping.  I have about $250 left.

3) Figure out next year's budget and spending.

It seems that we can't "bump" like we used to be able to.....but I found mine by searching through the threads. Miss the old board......

My Dec goals are pretty simple:

1) Keep Christmas spending wayyyyy low.  My family is doing a "make it yourself" gift exchange, and I plan to spend about $10 for supplies.  I would like to send my younger dd some money for Xmas too, but I need to talk to Dh tonight to figure our how much.

2) Set aside $2,000 to pay off my boat.  I will hold onto the money in my e/f until May, when I'm due to give the owner the balance of what we owe.  I don't want to pay it earlier because it's currently in winter storage (with no costs for me).  This is going to be our big, huge Christmas gift to ourselves.

3) Enjoy the holiday season, and peace on earth and good will toward man!!!!

Well, don't laugh, but I finally scrubed my medicine cabinet.  I think that was my goal 3 months ago.

I mention that because I brought up Flylady in November.   I have found that clutter in the home correlates with clutter in the mind and clutter in the mind makes sticking to a spending plan much harder.

I have a whopping $99 saved for Christmas shopping, and a $25 gift card to Walmart from a return.  Any extra money I make doesn't really go towards debt perse, as I need it just to get by.

December goal?

Be smart with the money I do have.

Not sure what Nov goals were. Can we bump on the new board?

Dec Goals:

Stop shopping when I am done and don't pick up more than I need!

Discuss goals for 2013 with DH, come up with a plan.

Get daughter's education fund worked out. The papers I sent are MIA! So frustrating.

I have grandios plans for December, i hope we can hit them!  Enjoy our vacay but stick to our budget.  Pay $3500 towards mortgage, set aside $6000 for new roof on house, new tires on car, put $7000 into EF all of these are from bonus.  Enjoy Christmas, its our granddaughters 1st Christmas so quite exciting for us!  Get ready to buckle under in Jan, watching food budget & planning meals.  DH doesn't work again until April so we have to survive on my income.  Really hoping for a bit of a raise in January.

Have a wonderful Dec & Merry Christmas!

December goals are

No more gift shopping

Keep the house 'company ready'

Sign DS up for archery

Visit SIL and BIL and be pleasant

See the Hobbit, Life of Pi, and the new Twilight movies

Get to the Field Museum--Extrmeme Mammal exhibit

Gingerbread house made and 2 types of cookies baked

$500 in short term saving

$250 short term saving towards vacation

November goals were

Stick to $160 week food budget and $30 week household-went over in household, but food was on track

Save $1100 for TX vacation--should cover pet sitter, all activities, and eating out (DH's company will pay for travel, hotel, and his food)-saved and will stay in short term saving earmarked for a vacation.  DS and I were accompanying DH on a work related trip and theTX portion trip was shortened and he is flying to NY from TX so we would have had to do the drive back to IL alone.   Saved for another trip.

Finish holiday shopping and wrapping-cash for it all-yes on the cash, most is wrapped and I have 4 gifts $150 left to buy-will get done this week

research treadmills and telescopes-treadmill research is done, DH is in charge of  telescopes
