With all the HYPE about Black Friday ... what did you do??

I refuse to go into the store for fear of getting caught up in it.

I did a bit of shopping, mostly clothing for the little ones as they had some really good doorbuster deals on clothing and the middle one just grew a 1/2 inch in the month of November, sprouting right out of all of her pants!! DH shopped online and got a great deal on a new oven for me, to be delivered just in time for Christmas baking on the 17th!

We did have to go shopping for some much needed household items, but waited until late on Saturday to head to Target and it was much more low-key.

My one and only "Black Friday purchase was a ladder that was half-price at Lowe's. Both our ladders had gotten stolen out of our yard this last year and we desperately needed one. As they are expensive, I thought it was a pretty good deal.

No, no shopping. I'm not buying anyone presents this year.

I had to refill a prescription. That felt a little like shopping.

I shopped on-line a few minutes ago, Saturday evening, for DH's gifts.

I only shopped online (on Thursday!) because they had some super deals. And, most of that was for ME. DH is deployed to Afghanistan and my kids are too young to go shopping without an adult and I recently lost two dress sizes, so I figured "why not." No one else is going to buy for me, so I would buy for me. I did pick up a couple of items for DD, but now my Christmas shopping is done. Just waiting for the charges to hit, so I can transfer the funds and relax and enjoy the rest of the season--which with three kids in band and music, means LOTS of holiday concerts coming my way!
