Expensive but good weekend!

Well it was a super expensive but good (mentally) weekend. I took BF to dinner Friday night to pay him back for all the food/ medicine he has brought me over the past week. I have had a head cold that moved into my chest for the past two weeks. It was so bad earlier in the week that I stayed home from work and had to call my Mom to come over and take Toby to the vet (I literally couldn't get out of bed). So BF was coming by and bringing medicine, food and OJ. My poor dogs were just shoved outside and weren't walked. It was raining but I had not energy to try and clean them off so they tracked mud into the house (it was so gross)

Saturday I stayed on my couch again all day. I wasn't feeling sick, but was still very fatigued. I did manage to get out and get a few groceries.

The landscaping company came  this morning to SOD the backyard and get it all cleaned out. The dogs had destoryed the yard and it was a mud pit. So I got an end of season discount on some sodding so they came first thing this am (actually woke me up out of bed!) and sodded. It looks great! The are also coming to to a fall clean so the yard will be ready for the winter!

So I don't know if it was because the outside is starting to look good or what, but I went on a cleaning streak today. I did ALL my laundry, cleaned my house from top to bottom (no easy feat I might add because it was a mess), organized my office, did all my filing and bathed both dogs!

So my total spend was $40 on dinner with BF, $40 on groceries and $1500 for my the landscaping and end of year yard maintenance :)

I did use some of my LOC for some of this but only because I am waiting for a $800 expense check from work for travel last month. Its coming on Friday so I can put it back once I get paid ( I had the money set aside but used some of it to clear my CC rather than pay interest while I waited for my reimbursement check to come in).

I'm starting to feel a little better about the house. Now I'm just waiting to hear what my bonus will be and I'm hoping to use that to redo my bathroom (mold issues starting).

I do think once we get one area fixed up it spurs us to keep going.  Glad you are feeling better!

Bex, please feel better soon!  I think it was darn tootin' smart of you to get such a good end of season deal on the landscaping!

Glad you're feeling better Bex and I'm glad your BF and Mom were able to check in on you to make sure you were ok!
