Funny coupon story...

We went to Safeway in Maui and got a $10 off coupon!  I made it a point to keep it and bring it home and luckily I checked the date and used it at the last minute.  No minimum purchase, but not good "liquid dairy."  Not sure what is up with that.  So, I picked up $16.00 for only $6.00.

Anyways, only here would anyone understand the importance of keeping a $10 coupon from a $4,000 vacation.  Kiss

I love a good bargin and saving $10 off groceries anyday is a GOOD THING!

Last August I was feeling pretty down & out.  Not much money to play with and needing something to boost my moral.  I discovered a group of ladies that painted their nails.  Some designs way to fancy for me, but nevertheless I fell in love with the hobby.  Growed my nails out and started taking pre-natal vitamins per the doctor for other things and had beautiful nails again.

The other day I walked in CVS (a mile from work) and scanned my customer card.  It spit out $2 off Maybelline cosemetics, no limimtations.  Maybelline had maked down some $4.19 polishes 50% (old colors)  ...ending story, I got a beautiful purple polish for $.09 cents.....Made my day!

Maui is amazing!  Loved it.  Kind of funny, but we met a couple "vacationing" from Ohau.  Guess it is no different than driving an hour or two to the ocean or the mountains to get out of town.  But it just sounded funny.  There you just have to take a plane!

We did the math and figured out we only spent about $3,500 on the actual vacation part.  I had told DH that I wanted to see what we actually spent.  Partially for pure curiosity and partially in hopes that we can bo back and take DD13.  Which we are seriously considering while DD is young enough to not get into too much trouble while there.  Not sure yet if we can pull it off in a short year of saving, but we'll see.

Wow - $10!!! I guess with the price of everything being so high in Hawaii that you'd get a very high value coupon there.

Oh you can't let those coupons go to waste I tell you.! good job!

I had a coupon from superstore from gas. It was about to expire so I used it that day. Well the clerk forgot to run it though. I used it to buy chocolate because it wouldnt have been any good after that day and chocolate was right by the till. Why not! I would have bought chocolate anyway! That sucker was used!
