I stopped watching TV ages ago. I don't miss it at all. The good programs are always available on the internet in some form. Maybe you won't get it right away, but entertainment is not a race. If you can't find something either on Hulu or Netflix, just try googling "stream ." Sometimes you can see it for free.
At least it is getting nice out and you can be outside more with things to do. I wish you luck! I have been into the Hunger Game series of books someone leant me and haven't watched much tv at all. Libraries are free too!
If it wasn't for my SO I would only have basic cable right now. So much is available on-line and really, there is some good stuff on the networks. We just forget.
For now I am just taking advantage of the $25 a month discount they keep giving me. Really just take the price back to where it was just about two years ago. Inflation is a killer when you don't get a raise.
We cut our cable last summer and don't miss it much. We do Netflix too. Between that and shows that are offered online for free, we have enough to keep us entertained. We get a lot of movies at the library too. Sometimes it takes awhile to get the newer movies, but they offer so many - the kids especially love going once a week and picking out something new.

You'll be fine.
Thanks for the reassurance.
Before you cancel the cable, disconnect it and make sure your antenae works.

Your braver than me.

We did it and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be for the whole family.
I'm so impressed with you guys who are able to do this.
I spent the last few days trying to use only hulu to see if I could do it, and I'm not sure.
I remember when our town finally got cable.
