Today is the 2 yr anniversary of SO's and my first date. We went downtown for Chinese food and after we were done eating he said, "I got you something." and slid a box across the table. Inside was an engagement ring! :)
The bad news is I stopped by the Subway where my second job is to check the new schedule and I was not on it. I will call the manager tomorrow, but it's not looking good. I started two weeks ago and have only worked about ten hours, and twenty dollars of that is taken out of my check to pay for the uniform, which it appears I will no longer need. Sigh. I guess I'll spend tomorrow filling out more apps.

Don't give up on Subway yet, just might be a slow week with fewer hours for the manager to hand out. I know newer employees usually get the shaft. Hang in there!
I would go to the manager and ask how you can get more hours. Remember that companies want people who EXCEL in customer service and always try to save the company money or make more profit. When you are there, do all you can to be the best service person you know, and who knows, maybe someone in line is hiring and will grab you! I always found my best employees working somewhere else.
