Good news (for me)

Some of you have noticed that I mentioned recently my job was at risk. It was a very difficult time, but I came out ahead. Going into details here isn't necessary. Suffice it to say that some of my colleagues, witnessing the serious procedural violations and confusion on the part of my supervisor, advised me to consider hiring an attorney. (One person basically thought if I lost my job, I'd easily get a big payday out of this.) I'm telling you this because it was a very stressful experience. I'd never considered litigation before. Thankfully, my colleagues were enormously supportive throughout this process. So I just want to share this good news with everybody.
Now I can stay on track in the future with my debt repayment, and have two more years of guaranteed employment. (I guess this is the part relevant to the forum.) On the same day that I learned of the good news, I discovered that I'll have a bit more work, so I'll be able to bring in $6,000 more this year.
I was seriously considering getting another job before, and now I still am. But I was genuinely touched by the colleagues who came out, supported, and fought for me -- including some I really didn't know all that well before. They seems like reasons to stay.

I can only imagine how stressful this must have been for you, especially since you were backed into a situation where you had to seek legal representation. Hopefully now you will have an opportunity to destress.
Oh, what great new for a Friday morning! Thanks for sharing!

Hey PB,
I am glad for the outcome and extra work/cash. That is really great news.
I wanted to say that I can
Supportive colleagues who got your back? Can't think of anything better.
Yes, maybe I'm over a rough patch of my life. Going on medical leave, realizing what a debt hole I'm in, and then almost losing my job. These are some challenging five months.
So glad this situation worked to your advantage.
Yay for you!!
Financial security, extra monies and supportive co-workers - that adds up to an AWESOME holiday gift!
It's great to hear that your job situation worked out in your favour and that your colleagues showed their support for you!
