My grocery expense for two adults is about $400 a month in the summer and $500 a month in the winter, including paper products, detergents, etc.
Well, I think most of you are doing great with your grocery budgets.
I usually budget $500 a month for two adults and 2 kids half the time(they eat like adults but are with their dad half the time) we are having a baby in July and I added another $100 a month for formula and diapers but I doubt it will be enough..Sigh. When we eat out it is usually fast food unless it is an occasion. We have really started to lean towards buying nice steaks or seafood for special occasions and cook at home. I get to use my artistic side and you get more for your money. Plus I don't have to figure out what I am going to get my basket ball tummy into for clothing that looks half decent lol.
We budget $200 a week for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats. This includes pets, personal hygenie, cleaning products. Add $150-200 a month at Costco which is TP, food items etc. This does not include the $400 or so a month I spend at Starbucks and at Mcdonalds plus eating out more fast food and restraunts. I could get it down We don't have to eat out. Maybe $1400 is to much but it is what we spend. You'd think you could cut my budget in half you don't have kids, but maybe 2/3 would be more accurate.
