Happy Thanksgiving
Mon, 10-14-2013 - 9:44am

I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I had a great weekend! I am starting to get settled in and getting organized. My new freezer came this week and my mom and I spent Saturday stocking it. We spent $150 on ingredients and made chicken soup, beef soup, lasagna, meatloaf, shepherds pie and slowcooker taco chicken. Combined we made over 90 meals! Add that to the turkey dinner left overs and I will be eating well for a while.

I am getting my finances settled too. I am happy to say the car and LOC is paid off! I didn't get as much on the student loan because of unexpected expenses but that means I am down to $17K owing :)

Also my monthly expenses are lower than I anticipated! My taxes are $200 lower per month then I planned and my mortgage payments are $50 lower. So I should be able to attack the student loan even more!

Things are really great!

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving indeed! It sounds fantastic :)

We stocked up on prepared food here too. I also got most of my cleaning done - didn't get to the walls and I really need to wipe them down. I didn't do a stitch of homework but I'm taking a breather, haha.

This move sounds like an absolutely fantastic move for you.

Way to go on all the cooking! That's awesome, and hopefully you'll feel healthier with all of the homecooked meals, too.

Congratulations on working so well on paying down the debt, and happy Thanksgiving, too!
