My Valentine's Day was fraught with romatic drama!

I had bought 2 small chickens on sale and decided to roast the "love birds" on Valentine's Day. DD and I named the slightly larger one Fred and the other one Gladys. As they were roasting in the oven, Gladys' legs kept spreading further and further apart! What a trollop! By the time they were finished, her legs were splayed on either side and her reputation was sullied. Fred promptly broke up with her.

DD thought that perhaps we should have trussed Gladys, but who knew she was into that sort of kinky S&M?

Fred and Gladys were delicious.

Sorry that your Valetine was not so good, Bex. But I'd bet your BF would be so totally appreciative when you get around to celebrating.

As for me, I had a great workout at the gym. Warmed up on the rowing machine, then I hit the iron for about an hour and a half. I got so pumped and stiff I could barely walk at the end. Then I went swimming for half an hour. After I came home, ate, etc., I practiced a bit of cha cha. My muscles are still sore.

Imagine some lucky girl could have received all that energy.

Sadly my valentines ended up in the urgent care clinic. BF has bronchitis and a sinus infection. I had made and brought breakfast to him in the am and he could barely move!!! So my Valentines will be sometime next weekend!

Thanks Kate, he did! I got DH some Valentine cookies with a personal saying on them. He was so happy I dropped them at his office, surprising him, that he brought home roses and we had a beautiful night with a candlelit dinner of salmon in parchment, and a movie. I think together we spent $30 for the day, half of what dinner and a movie might have been, but much more romantic and personal.
