Do you know if you divide your mortgage payment by 12 and add that amount to your principal payment you'll make at least one additional mortgage payment per year which will greatly reduce the amount of your mortgage life?
I also encourage you to do small things to pump up your extra principal payments like cancel cable TV, eating out, and abig vacation for just a year. Put all that dough on your mortgage principal. You'll be amazed at how much you can save or pay down!
Good job putting that all to work for you. My only word of caution is that amount for taxes looks really low at 26% for Fed, FICA and state? Just looked at my year end pay, and I am paying 31% in total. Be sure to hold onto that emergency money! -Marie
Oh Wisdom, that it so funny! OK, we can't all get bonuses like Cindylee, but coupons? That is almost more of an insult than gift.
I know someone who's employer like to treat them to training weekends at a resort. Which was cool and everything, but you stil had to have your own spending money. The employees weren't stupid and they knew it was a huge write-off.
Many of them wished they would just give them a bonus instead of a fancy nights sleep.
Wow Cindylee that is great news!!!
