Hi Everybody

Hi everybody

Ive been missing in action but im back.

I hope everybody is well.

My side business has really picked up in the past two months and in fact I am now contracting to two  different organizations....one managing extra files and the other doing consultant type work in my field. They are paying me very well on an hourly basis (one at two times my hourly rate and the other at three times my hourly rate of my full time job).

In the second job I am averaging 3 to 8 hours  and in the third job  4 to 6 hours with potential for growth for both positions.

I cannot leave my full time job though as I have an amazing pension plan there as well as very generous vacation, sick and medical benefits.

I am also now a quarter owner of a luxury condo that i bought with my galpal and and her sister/spouse in Naples Florida.  Its friggin gorgeous and I love flying down there for extended long weekends.

I look forward to catching up with what everybody is up to as well as figuring out where I am debt wise.  I made a huge dent in my consumer debt but now I have another mortgage on the florida home (actually paying my galpal at a very low interest rate).  I will post my debt scorecard soon and start getting back on track.

Talk soon,

Nice to have you back - you seem so happy :) The second and third job sound great. That extra bit should help kick the last of the debt.

We are doing well here. Our restaurant habit is now in check and the boys rarely ask about it. I've been doing well in cooking some amazing meals and they are having fun trying all sorts of new things. Today they had garlic quinoa (which was a huge hit) and yesterday the parmesan zucchini was not. But DH and I loved it.

Our ski trip is paid for and we have rebuilt most of our EF. I'm up for a number of new positions but that has been the case for weeks with no offers yet!!

Welcome back!

Hi Duke! So great to hear from you. I am very curious as to what has changed in the consumer debt pay off mind set? Was it your extra income coming in? Is that how you did it? and big changes too!! A more serious gal pal? More property!! Do tell please. Did you help with a down payment or closing costs? As I remember your debt was around 50 grand, where do you sit now?And how are you feeling????
