Sorry things are tight this week and DH took all the cash Norma :( Hope things get better soon.

It's rainy cold and gloomy here in Virginia today, and that's greatly affecting my mood.

Today is a bad day. It's one of my obsessive days where I crunch and recrunch the numbers over and over - how much we have in savings and how slowly it will grow .... how much debt we have and how long it will take to pay it all off (answer = forever). it's frustrating, it stresses me out/worries me and I end up not sleeping well at night.

There's nothing I can do to pay our debt off faster. I already work two jobs, with no room for more hours and no chance of a raise. I don't do any hobbies, buy clothes, eat out, drive around, nothing. DH already works 60 ish hours a week at his job and can't make more money either. I feel hopeless about life sometimes. We want to travel in the upcoming months - to see his parents in February and his children in April, and it all just seems IMPOSSIBLE. :(

Something will give for you one day as you get your debt down. You are doing the right thing. Keep at it!

It is super windy here and snowing today. I need more groceries!! Gosh, they eat a lot! I need to do a batch cooking day again too as this week has been crazy busy with everyones extra activities and I have no more go to meals for when I don't have time to cook.

Feeling frustrated. My DH is upset about our debt and is worried about getting laid off. Again. I told him it will be ok, we will be ok somehow.

Went grocery shopping tonight. I realized tonight I don't know how to draft a grocery budget. I only buy what we need. We eat really healthy, I make my own cereal with 4 different types of nuts for instance, and I know that is expensive, but we use all that I buy so there isn't waste. I buy frozen fruit so I can make smoothies (if it is fresh fruit it sometimes goes bad). Sigh. I eat pretty boring!! (My coworkers are surprised when I just cut up a bell pepper to eat plain.) Feeling frustrated. But feeling pretty happy that we both feel healthy, and are both working out hard and are in better shape now than a decade ago, so I need to be grateful for that.

I like wine and have a few glasses per week, but have decided to let that go until finances are under control. (Even though i don't buy expense wine.)

In one word: Terrible :(
Apparently my office has a "no layoffs over Christmas" policy. What that means though it January is a crappy month. We let go one manager (in my sister department) several staff from a company we acquired that were not integrating well, and today I just found out another associate was let go. I'm trying really hard to be optimistic for my team because they're nervous but its so hard. Plus I really liked some of these people. I'm safe (getting promoted in a few months) but my team is stressing.

Finances are a holy mess. This washer/ furnace thing really threw me off. Plus this wedding that i'm in is costing way too much and the bachellorette is this weekend. The other bridesmaids have lost their minds. We started with a low key dinner and drinks at a pub to a hotel room with decorations, food, matching shirts etc etc. I told them its out of my budget so I hope there are no hard feelings with money when the time comes.

Oh well. Life goes on :(
