I just jumped another hurdle!

I took the GMAT on July 21 and got a 630. Not as good as I wanted, but my school looks at all of the other documentation before automatically excluding people. I took the unofficial score report in and dropped it off with the director of my MBA program. She about fell over herself telling me how good my references, credentials, and scores were (lol...they were not that great). I was basically accepted on the spot
Second hurdle...telling the boss point blank he needed to pay me more and I needed to be given more responsibility. We talked for an hour about my career and I ended up with a 4% raise...not much but it will do for now
Third hurdle, take the first part of the exams for the RMA (basically master's certification for county appraisal work in our state). I PASSED today with flying colors. I was so worried about this test because I don't really have a good track record with studying and it is an exam that has a 50/50 pass/fail rate. I totally thought I bombed it. First, I got done with the 4 hour test in 1.5 hours. Second, the three guys that I went up there with used almost the entire time. Third, as we were leaving the office, the proctor ran out and asked if we had attended the prep course. We all answered no and she stated that there was a review if we didn't pass...all the while looking at me over and over. It was an agonizing wait...2 hours later we found out that two of my coworkers had failed and that a supervisor and I had passed. Talk about a LOOOOONNNGGGG two hour ride home...awkward!
But wow, passing everything and a 4% raise. That is just great Jen. So proud of you!!!
Congratulations. That was a BIG hurdle.
4% is decent. I got a 2% earlier this year. It was my second raise in 9 yrs.
Good luck at work!
