I miss Kate, as do a number of you, I'm sure. I don't think it's just the website that's been preventing her participation. Can we get a moderator to send her an email -- to the external email account with which she signed up for an iVillage account? Does anyone know how to contact Kate outside of iVillage?
I am certain she would have responded to my PMs if she was able to. I also don't think she would have disappeared from iVillage all of a sudden.

Thanks, Serenity. Even though we share a lot on this forum in some ways, we are able to do so because we don't know each other in real life. That makes it hard to find someone once she disappears...
What do we know about Kate that could help us find her?
She is a government work, and I think she is in Ontario. She works in some kind of records capacity. She is divorced, and has a daughter living at home with her who is in her 20s. They have cats. She does not have a car, so she rides a bus. She lives in an apartment. Her mother is still alive. She has a sister.
And she has a phenominal sense of humor.
What is her full name? Katherine? I tried to google obits in Canada, but came up with nothing promising :( Anyone know her DD's name? That could also be helpful for searching. And she has an XH who she is pretty close with as well...
Please keep in mind that Kate may not want her personal information to appear on a public website. She's corresponded with a number of people on the forum, so there are probably some people with privileged information about Kate. We should respect her privacy. Maybe sharing some information in private is OK, but definitely don't post it in public. Thanks!
Kate is a popular name and "govt work" in Ontario could probably be over 100,000 people if you include all levels of gov't. More if you include crown corporations and most of them consider themselves "gov" workers :)
But of course, don't post her phone #, address or anything!

I received a reply from CM Jen and unfortunately they are not allowed to send unsolicited e-mails to members.
She said she could see if she was posting elsewhere, but I think we can see that ourself if we click on Kate's name. Or at least see when she last logged on, which last I time I checked, was quite some time ago, even before the boards changed.
I am still hoping for the best! Was there not anyone here on this board that was FB friends or e-mailed her privately?

I suspect because we share so much -- especially the financial details -- we are reluctant to be friends in real life as well. On this forum, I can talk about stuff that I can't tell my friends and family. But that also means a full relationship is impossible.
What's next? I tried the search engines for obituaries, and they don't seem to work very well. I input the names of the people in her life, and I get completely irrelevant results. Naturally, I am hoping Kate won't turn up, but these engines don't give me confidence that we can rule the obits out.
Does anyone know where she works? Maybe you can check with that bureau/department.
