Marking a couple of milestones

1)  Chapter 13 Bankruptcy balance is now $15,774.00 scheduled for 30.45 payments @ $518.00.

2)  We are currently refinancing our mortgage and locked in at 4.875% for 20 yrs. until 9-13-13 (saving 2% on current rate) and all the paper work should be done well before then.   (Pinch me, I still cannot believe this).  All we have to do is send all the documents to the Bankruptcy lawyer once they are signed and he will present them to the judge.  We will be saving $46 a month, which I may have to send to the court.  if so, I will continue to make the same payment that I am payint presently.

3)  DH is rocking numbers at his job.  He may advance in his job next year if all goes as planned.  We'll see.  Either way I am going part time next year with a job closer to home.  I'd love to stay home full time and he would like that too.  But time will tell.  I still would like to kick most of this mortgage to the curb.  With his bonsus we might be able to do this sooner than later.

LIFE IS GOOD!  I cannot believe that February 24, 2014 is coming so quickly.

Norma -

My gosh are you guys making awesome strides.  How is your little gardening shadow?  Haven't heard about your grandson in quite some time.  Also, how is your son and his wife doing?

It's so wonderful to hear you're almost through the tunnel! It's also inspiring, too. You've had to work through so much adversity, and that's worthy of respect!

Yes Karen, a bonus that can build up a substantial savings account and replace an old 32 yr. old deck!

Oh Marie, my not so little trailer calls on Saturday mornings (from next door mind you) and orders breakfast...when he does'nt have an early ball game. ""Mimi...I feel like pancakes this morning", LOL.  Music to my ears.

The kids (son & DIL) are doing pretty well.  They still like 17 mos. in Chapter 13 and he has been working overtime and she got a raise.  There life would not have been turned upside down if she had not gotten laid off for 6 months either. Things will be a lot better on them soon.

The economy in East TN is still rather slow but steady.  I still dream of a part time job next spring in my little home town.  Time will tell.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
