I feel for you Norma and I totally agree that the cable should stay -- dollar for dollar, cable is the cheapest entertainment out there.

When I am in this type of situation, I try to find ways to shave small amounts from other categories. For example, I'll shave $10 from the food budget and $2 from my makeup sinking fund and $3 from the cell phone (it's pay per use, so I just use it less). Not sure if that helps you....!

I feel your pain, Norma, because I know you can feel mine: my internet bill just doubled. That means $35 more per month. (The lower rate was a promotional discount.) I'm going to figure out where those $35 are going to come from. Maybe I'll eat less meat.
