1) DH's bonus covered ALL of my medical expense.
2) We had over 1/2 of his dental work done and just owe $65 that the bonus money did not cover.
3) I got a good report at the heart doctor and do not have to return until next January for a pacemaker check.
4) I took my car to the dealer today. Oil change $18 (with $20 off coupon) and most importantly the englne light repairs for the emission control devises was covered under warranty. BIG SMILY FACE! Otherwise it would have been $300.
5) August is the month we get an extra paycheck to catch up on needed maintenance and repairs and the dogs all get vaccinated.
6) Without any unseen problems, the Christmas fund should be fully funded by the end of August.
7) Our mini- vacation is still planned for September and I get 5 days of R & R and make my first airplane flight. I will be working a charity golf tournament one day, but I don't mind that at all.
8) Last.....but not LEAST ........ 81 weeks left of Chapter 13 Bankruptcy payments!!!!!!!! I can feel the 70's calling my name.

Thanks for putting this up Norma... I've been in a major mental funk and this will help get me out of it
1) Thankful that DH has a job. So many people are being cut from the military and he managed to survive it.
2) Thankful to have my DD. She is a handful and a half but I can't imagine trying to deal with the next 8-9 months without her. She keeps me occupied and, therefore, sane.
3) Thankful that all 3 of us are healthy and no major issues.
4) Thankful to actually be communicating about spending/debt repayment/saving money this deployment. Maybe we can actually keep things together this time
Please EVERYONE, feel free to post!

Oh I love it Norma, a little positivity!
1 Thankful for a happy healthy little girl we just had. Love her to peices!
2. So glad we can make things work here with out me working for awhile to enjoy our daughter.
3. Thankful DH has a job and he even has been working at his 2nd job a little.
4. Thankful I found this board and have grown financially/mentally over the last 4 years. I would still be in a financial mess after my divorce 5 years ago if I didn't use the tools I found here. Boy are we on the right track.
5. Thankful the store is running well with me at home and I have fantastic staff!
I am a very lucky girl!
Norma, congrats on reaching 81 weeks!! And I'm so glad all your medical expenses have been paid!
I am grateful for:
1) Having well-funded sinking funds. I found out this week that I need MORE expensive dental work and I can currently cover it thanks to my dental sinking fund.
2) Being able to borrow my parents car. I borrow it about once a week and I can get all my errands done in about 2 hours, which is a real time saver. Last night I picked up a 12-case of beer, which I normally wouldn't buy because I'd have to carry it on the bus!
3) My daughter. She's so fun and my best friend.
4) That nothing is going wrong right now. At this point in life, I don't need fabulous things to happen to me to make me happy -- I just need to not be in a crisis and that's enough!!

Let me join in. I am thankful for
-- my sisters, who love me even though we're such different people;
-- my little niece, who is the age of my inner child;
-- galpal9, who loves me, supports me, and tries to make time for me even though she's chronically, seriously ill;
-- galpal89, an alien on this earth, who made me feel sixteen again;
-- new galpal, who listens to me, wants to know all about me, and says smart things that make me feel like a ditz;
-- my "nana" galpal, who makes me feel safe and at home like no one else;
-- tango;
-- my looks, which persist inspite of my illnesses;
-- Charlie, who gave me a career; Earl, who inspired me;
-- my buddies on DSG, who help drag me out of debt and into freedom;
I will chime in too! Great post Norma!
I am thankful for:

Thank you Norma for starting this post! And congrats on 81 weeks! ;-)
Since this is the debt support group, I would start with finance related things first:
1. I have a job. Long hours and insane travel, but I am working and getting paid.
2. Still debt free. Have not acquired new debt since paying off the mortgage of my own place. The rent from the other place continues to cover the mortgage and maintenance costs.
3. DH and I are both in good health. Some minor aches and pains and feeling old sometimes, but nothing that cannot be fixed with diet and exercise and a few good nights of sleep.
4. Family and friends are all well.
5. The weather finally improved. Still very hot and dry during the day, but at least it cools off at night. A month ago it was hot 24/7. Also, all the major wildfires are out.
