So I had to take my car in today to get the winter tires put on, a service, alignment etc. etc. etc.
Total bill came to $500.
A year ago that would have been enough to send me over the edge. Today, I knew it was coming so I had put money aside for it and it will be completey paid off.
I guess this is why we do this . . . so little emergencies don't turn into really really big ones!

I so agree! I even paid for the car repair with some of my extra bonus money so that I dont' have to decimate the sinking fund. I was robbing peter to pay paul a while ago so its not nearly as funded as it should be. So I'm going to let it build!
