Saddy Pants Face and the Future

First the Saddy Pants face....the check for $6.931.38 for DH's bonus was put in the mail to the Bankruptcy court last night.  I'm trying not to dwell on it and I'll be darned if I even speak the phrase "feeling guility" about not paying back bankruptcy debt.  When we finish we will have paid in over 88% of our debt.

The future of Ms. Norma may be changing in next 10 - 12 months.  I will either be home 100% of the time or working part time in our little community and getting my butt off the road and these long commutes.  It's just not adding up purchasing another car just to wear it out and put it on the road 5 days a week for 50 miles or more.  Plus my health has a lot to do with this descission.  For once my husband is in 100% agreement.  The thoughts of this is putting the subject on the first paragraph totally out of my mind.

BTW.....44 weeks and counting.....

Sorry about the bonus check but you have something much bigger to consider here. You don't HAVE to work in a year. Do you know how huge that is? To be able to survive on one paycheck? Lots of people only dream of it. Plus I bet you could find something even just a little part time to get you out of the house one day a week and bring in some extra cash to do whatever it is you want to? Pay down the mortgage, buy things for the house and yard. A very big change is coming and I am soo happy for you!

I'm sorry about the evaporating bonus check. But the good news is that in less than a year, that wouldn't happen anymore. You will be out of bankrupcy, and I'll hopefully have a new job. The future is looking bright for us!

If you're having more health problems than the ones we know about, I sincerely hope they'll get taken care of. It sounds like running your property can be physically demanding. You've gotta save yourself for the things that matter, whatever that may mean in your case.

Norma I can't believe how far you've come! 44 weeks will fly! And just think, you speak about leaving a job as a matter of factly because you have put in the hard work! A few years ago the idea if not working would have thrown you into a tailspin! PS I think you need a job at a garden centre!!!

I'm so excited for you Norma! Watching your journey has been an encouragement for me.  I hope that the end of your long commute comes sooner rather than later!
