Hello!  I am briefly resurfacing to say hello...Things are just crazy busy around here.

As usual, the debt total is where it is......I am just for now ignoring it in a way and just trying to focus on work and the eldercare I have been stuck with.  Not having fun.  I am tired and gaing weight....my SO is worried I am stress-eating....I think I am, but I am not overdoing it, but I'm not getting much exercise lately either.  I can't win........

BUT, in honor of the Olympics, I am trying to start small (and start again), and I am just NOT spending during the Olympics.  Just a small goal I can manage among the other things I am trying to do..........Work  has been hard....I got a new position at work(lateral move), and the training is TERRIBLE when there is training.  I am learning a system that isn't even documented....it's tough......stressful.....

I am going to have a couple weeks off from work soon, and I have no money to go on a real vacation, but I could be happy with daytrips....but it call costs money.....but I need the REST!!!

More later.......I have to keep working at the debt battle, I know, but I have other things going right now, too......

Hanging in there, Littlesbigs

Dee, Littlesbigs' uncle is a difficult person whose mind and body are both decaying, and I don't think she'd want to live with him. That would be an even heavier burden probably. Their relatives are dumping him on her, when she can really use someone to help shoulder the load.

I believe you said you were looking after your uncle? Maybe you could move him into your place? Then he could contribute a little to your housing expenses, save on gas and time?

I used to be an avid exerciser (compare to most, I might still be as I walk and play ice hockey). But after having a 2nd child I didn't have 20 hours/week to devote to it. I felt "big" and needed a change. I started reducing sugars and starch. I didn't follow a plan or anything, just cut dramatically down. I lost 26 lbs without changing my limited exercise routine. You might want to consider it as you will find you have way more energy! Search "sugar kills" on you tube and you'll find an excellent video by a metabolic researcher on it.

It is great that you are taking care of your elder and I commend you for it. But you have to remember to take care of yourself too. You have long life ahead of you and you want it to be a healthy one. <<Hugs>>

Sorry to hear you're stagnating, and possibly stress eating. Hang in there.

But other than the usual "hang in there," I have to ask: what is your plan for getting out of this rut? What must happen for you to start knocking down the debt? Maybe it's goot to keep the future in mind.
