Sinking funds save the day again!

I had to take Toby to the vet yesterday because he had an ear infection. $270 later I have to give him two pills and 10 drops in his ear twice a day. Poor little guy. It's a HORRIBLE infection and he didn't make a peep. The only reason I noticed was because he was shaking his head a lot. I feel so bad for him :(

I also spend $130 talking to a consellor. I am looking for ways to handle stress better in my life. Fortunately he is covered so I get 80% of that back (and my medical fund will cover the copay). I have also started to see a naturopath (as you may have guessed I'm having some stress related medical concerns) and that is covered (again, sinking fund will cover my portion).

Thanks heavens for sinking funds!

Sorry to hear about the dogs ear - our Cocker has ear issues all the time and I have to give her ear wash daily as well as a medication. Ear wash is available in the US over the counter and helps prevent the infections a lot of the time.

As far as your stress, what has helped a friend of mine is taking a class on "controllability." It helped her realize what she could control and what she could not, to develop procedures for what she could, and learn to let go of things she could not. She overseas a staff of about 10 in inside sales and customer service so the stress was affecting her too. It did wonders for her.
Just a thought as I know you are carrying a lot on your plate.

So glad you had those to use. That is what they are there for. Liberating isn't it?
