Ugh, it just continues. Between now and next Wednesday I have to go to the airport and back 5 TIMES!!! I dropped my Mom off today, I am travelling Wed and Thurs, taking my ssiter back on Sunday and picking my Mom up next Wednesday! That's a lot of gas (at least two tanks)!!! I do get reimbursed from work ($50 each trip), but now the majority of that is going into the dogs account to pay for their daycare!
I also had to get them up to date on their shots. It was actually lower than I though ($300). I compared to the last vet and they charged $450 for the same shots. It goes to show that shopping around really can make a difference.
So the good news: CC is still paid off. All of this is coming from the sinking funds. They are pretty depleted and I may need to borrow from the car account to fill up the tank, but aside from that there is money there. I am putting in my expenses today and will be getting a pretty big reimbursment in the next two weeks so I can rebuild the dogs fund.
All that to say, I will just keep on keeping on!
Why are you dropping folks at the airport? We all get there ourselves and then leave a car in the parking areas?
Yes, dogs are spendy, one of ours is having a hard time and I don't really think she will see 2014 (Cocker, 11 yrs old with a fatty tumor and blindness.) The other pesky one will probably live another decade or two, but maybe by then my DD will take him to HER house since it is HER dog.
We will babysit dogs when these are gone, but no more dog parenting for us as it really is a huge expense and hampers the ability to just get up and go places we want to travel to.
You will get through the spendies and maybe that man in your life will put a sparkle in your week this week as well???

How exciting though that you haven't had to pull out your CC!

Oh hear you on the spendy week.....I just paid for my Ikea purchases and other expenses....ouch. That ikea was just not planned for but we love it(stand alone pax wardrobe). We used to have my husbands's clothes on a shelf that snaps together, you know the ones that go in a garage. This way all is put away and neat and tidy! and the other expenses. Just paid off that expensive dinner with my son who turned 16....so yummy at the Keg but you know what I am saying!! Ouch again.!
We don't have dogs right now. I'm kinda glad, that would be overwhelming lol. Good luck with them. So happy to hear that about your mom as she has come a long way, and hope sister can pull through and complete her course. That is a lot to deal with. But she will be so happy when it is done.
Sounds like a really busy week! Wow.
You can do this :) You sound like the rock of the family, what a truly wonderful gift for your loved ones.
I love the Mulligans Day, totally cool. Dh is working tomm during the day but wants to do something even after a 12 hour day...that is his romantic side...it doesn't come out often so I'll take what I can get. Actually, that is not true - he is VERY romantic, he just has no idea how to express it, lol.
Onto better weeks!
