There goes my e-fund

I'll have about $1,000 in car repairs. That's how much is in my e-fund account right now. I guess I'll have to say goodbye to it. Next month I'm going to start getting new crowns on the teeth that had root canal this past year. Life is expensive, isn't it? I'm feeling a bit beaten.

Awww PB I'm sorry you have to deal with this right before the Holiday. I guess the good news is that you have the money in your efund so at least you aren't scrambing to figure out how to pay for it.
I hear you about life being expensive. My dog just had an accident on my internet modem (he was sick, I'll give him that, but why on earth he chose that place to pee is beyond me!) Anyway, he shorted out the whole thing so aside from the horrible smell (burning doggie pee) I have to replace the modem and router. AND I had to rent a carpet cleaner to take out the smell . . . Hopefully my crappy day made you smile just a teeny bit!

Oh PB that sucks!
I hate the dentist.
And car repairs and maintenance is never ending! Just paid $466 for repairs and maintenance yesterday. Uhg!
Take care.
Oh PB, I agree. Life can be expensive.
It really is wonderful though that you even HAVE an e-fund. I have not gotten that far.
I am stil paying for my $2,800 transmission at 17% interest. Sigh....
You are going great though to have that kind of money set aside. You should be proud!

Not so funny how karma always knows how much money you have in the e fund. I believe she has esp.
Hang in there....Surely things will improve soon.
I know everyone does it a little different, but isn't car repairs supposed to actually be in more of a sinking fund. Or a living fund, you could call it. Don't we all know that eventually we will need a car repair? I don't know, I may be mistaken. I guess if you have a new car, that may not be necessary.
But PB, if I were to guess, an e-fund should probably be at least $500. Most car repairs, water heater blowups, broken windows, insurance deductibles, uncovered emergency medical expenses and such, will probably be right around there. Big things can often be financed, if necessary.
Again, I may be off, but I think an e-fund should be at least $500.
