Things are good, but ugh....

Okay, partially posting to keep the board busy, but also partially frustrated.
The medical cost at the dermatoligist is just frustrating. Okay, of course I don't want to get sick and these things need to be treated, but my co-pay went up from
$25 to $35 and my deductible went up to $1,250. I realize it could be much worse, I know. But the clinic is tightening up their accounts receivable and are not as flexible as they used to be. I do think they will continue to take monthly payments, but they will want most, if not all paid off before I go back in.
So, I cancelled my appointment for next week (which was only a follow up, and another $35) and I will just have the spot re-checked at my normal check up. Which will be March again already.
I am learning how to get my "monies worth" there, but still. (i.e. it costs the same $135 to get one spot froze off as it is 15 spots)
They have every right to want their money in 90 days, but it seems I can't get out of there without a $300 dollar bill.
I will say I am so very lucky that my melanoma was removed BEFORE my insurance made all of these changes. It was done in a surgical room, but in the same office so I only had to pay a co-pay. Have to find a silver lining in here somewhere. I just got my DH signed up for his health insurance and although yes, right now he is paying the premium in full, he has a better plan than I do through work. (hoping after we get hard numbers for our tax return he might get a little bit of assistance)
Okay, enough whining out of me for one day. Glad I am not digging, but can't seem to get ahead. Always something....
