Tip to save on heating bill

Some of you may have already heard of this, but I had not. A warm mist humidifier. I guess the idea is you can turn your thermostat down lower than you normally would and the moist air holds heat more efficiently than dry air.
They used a 7 degree difference as saving $56 dollars a month and a cost of $10 a month to run the humidifier.
Anyone ever try this?

My gas and electric average over $200 monthly ($233 to be exact) and I would LOVE to find more ways to keep my costs down.
But . . . I'm not sure of this, however. I remember having a conversation with some people last winter where we were talking about having a humidifier made our homes feel cooler than the actual temp. I was surprised to hear others experienced this also. It must have something to do with the evaporation effect.
So, based on their savings, your heating bill would be zero! Ha ha....
My electricity bill can get up to $200 during a cold winter, so the idea definately perked my interest.
Very interesting idea ... but I don't even spend 56$ per month on heat, so ... but I do think that adding moisture to the air during the winter is a good idea. Don't know that it would save any money though ...
