This sounds interesting. Maybe you can become a home file organization guru. There are enough neat people out there. Could this be a viable side business?

I'll be happy to give lectures on taking root canals.

You could turn this into something really good. Lately there has been a new movement called personal branding - it means using your skill set and passions to really specialize in something and become a leading authority and take ownership of it.
Think of Tide detergent - the best detergent or that is what they stand for. Now really are they the best? Some really could argue - but that is for others to do, Tide has cemented themselves on that brand position.
YOU could be the TAZMANIAM FILE ORGANIZER!! Bottom line is that it could lead to more speaking, a book, a website, etc. You could monitize the skill.
Oh, I don't know how Canada is with taxes, but in the US if you itemize, you can deduct your travel and any other costs incurred for this charitable event - you should check with your tax preparer!
I am so excited for you!! (And am secretly trying to figure out how I can get you to come and help me in my home office...)
