Its Thursday again! What do you have planned? Something pricey or frugal?

I have a girl friend coming in  so did some extra grocery shopping but nothing crazy. I did get a couple of bottles of wine and extra things for V day tonight and for the weekend. Probably an extra $60 but likely won't go out. I don't have to work this weekend at all.

Have a good one everyone!

Frugal weekend, but expensive medical treatments coming up. So sometimes it doesn't feel like trying does much. :(

Same old weekend plans here. . . hang out at home and don't spend any money!  We will get our $10 fast food lunch on the way home from church on Sunday.  That is IT!

Spendy weekend here. We have to head to IKEA for a bookshelf and I'm also going to look at a computer desk (ours is falling apart, literally). We *may* put our house up for sale next month so we want to be ready. Last time we sold, we organized and made it so beautiful I thought, "why didn't we do this sooner and enjoy it!!!" So even if we don't sell, we will be enjoying a more organized and clutterfree home :) Probably eat out once or twice too. Dee

Had a nice but pretty frugal weekend.  DH went up to the cabin alone and I stayed home to work on Saturday and spend time as both kids came home different days (from college.)  DD and I had a nice salmon salad dinner on Saturday, so the salad ingredients, some items I needed and groceries she needed for her apartment ran me $45.  Made crock pot western ribs with mashed potatoes for DS.

I did their laundry, baked some things with items from the pantry and cleaned house.  Actually it was kind of fun to be domestic for a change.  But my life now is so much more relaxed it is not funny.

I noticed that one of the kids took the bottles and cans back - they must be down to the last dollars to do that.  I am just glad I didn't have to take them in.

DD and I talked about her next year.  She is a senior by credits now, but in her 3rd year, and she can graduate next December.  She was asked to apply for two internships at the state house this summer and two of her profs also asked if she wanted to travel abroad next fall.  She will study global economics, but is also applying to law schools next summer.  Now she decided she wants a combined law/MBA program (4 years.) So mom will be broke until at least 2019.

DSS said he applied for 13 different paid summer internships, so I think he is getting with it too.

It was nice spending time with them, and hearing their dreams - I am pretty lucky!
