Weekend Expenses$$

What is everyone doing this weekend? Pricey or Frugal?

I am working Saturday and Sunday. We also have a family friend coming into town. That pretty much will take up a lot of it. I hope it is frugal as we are eating at home with some nice wine.

Not sure yet...I want to get DS2's bday present even its not till May. I want the time to source out what I want on craigslist (play kitchen). But I saw a new one for $250 I love. And both boys could play with it. DH and I are looking to get sunglasses $150. Maybe my living room shelf $500. So IF (big if, DH will probably work) we go shopping it will be pricey.

Family fun day for sure on Friday tho- $89

Hope everyone has a good w/end.

I am hoping for a planned-but-pricy frugal weekend if that makes sense :) I am taking my Dad and stepmom out for dinner on Sunday for their birthdays. It was planned and there is money in the sinking funds to cover it. I am going to meet a friend one night but I'm hoping we can just hang out at the house with some wine. She knows that I am trying to budget and so is she so I think she will be okay with it. I will also need a few groceries (not many). On a somewhat unrelated note I can't believe how much cash I have due to not eating out. Its wild. I was able to save an extra $100 over two weeks just from my spending and gas money! I am putting $20 aside just in case something goes on sale and I want to stock up, and I am putting the rest on the LOC! Feeling motivated today!

Farm and yard work on Saturday.  if it's dry enough we will be planting strawberries (already paid for).  I have some free material to repair some things in the dog lot and I have a plant sale to attend at the local high school.  I've limited myself to $30 so I really need to stretch the purchases.  Hubby leaves for Chicago on Sunday so I'll be working around the yard and seeing how far I can stretch my plants, cleaning house and doing my nails on late Sunday when I drop over from working outside all weekend.

So I'd sum my weekend up as being under $30.  Frugal!
